Responsibilities:
-Administer and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines.
-Proactively monitor system performance and identify potential issues.
-Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as patching, upgrades, and security hardening.
-Troubleshoot and resolve virtualization-related issues.
-Implement and manage VMware HA and DRS clusters for high availability and resource optimization.
-Manage vSAN clusters, including provisioning storage, configuring storage policies, and monitoring performance.
-Utilize virtualization migration tools for seamless VM migrations.
-Implement and manage Veeam backup and recovery solutions, including failover testing and disaster recovery planning.
-Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of the virtual infrastructure.
-Document system configurations and procedures.
2-5 years of experience as a VMware System Administrator.
-Strong understanding of VMware vSphere architecture and components.
-Hands-on experience with ESXi, vCenter Server, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and DRS.
-Experience with vSAN cluster management and configuration.
-Proficiency in using virtualization migration tools.
-Experience with Veeam backup and recovery solutions, including failover and disaster recovery.
Knowledge with Nutanix administration.
Knowledge of VxRail infrastructure.

As a VMware System Administrator at our innovative IT company, you will play a crucial role in managing our cutting-edge VMware vSphere environments. From administering ESXi hosts to monitoring virtual machines through vCenter Server, your expertise will ensure our virtual infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. You’ll proactively monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and tackle them head-on. Your routine maintenance tasks will involve patching, upgrades, and security hardening to keep our systems secure and up-to-date. We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience in utilizing virtualization migration tools to perform seamless VM migrations, as well as managing VMware HA and DRS clusters for high availability. Additionally, you’ll manage our vSAN clusters, provisioning storage, configuring storage policies, and ensuring peak performance. Implementing and managing Veeam backup and recovery solutions will also be part of your duties, including conducting failover testing and disaster recovery planning. You’ll work closely with other IT teams, ensuring cohesive operation across our virtual infrastructure while documenting system configurations and procedures. If you have 2-5 years of experience in this role, a strong understanding of VMware vSphere architecture, and hold relevant VMware certifications such as VCP, we would love to hear from you!
