OR TURNOVER TECHNICIAN

Responsible for assisting the OR Team in turning rooms over in an expeditious fashion, including instrument / scope cleaning and sterilization, setting up OR room, opening sterile supplies, gathering and setting up equipment and assisting with patient positioning. May assist with patient transportation and cleaning the OR room as needed. Duties are assigned by and under the direct supervision of the Support Staff Supervisor and the OR RN.

Day Shift ( Swing Shift 12 pm- 8:30pm)

FT- 40 Hours

NO ON CALL/ Weekends required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Work requires a high school level of educational development and at least six months of previous experience.

2. Bi-annual certification in CPR required..

3. Work requires the analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.

4. Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters. Incumbent must respond appropriately to instructions, questions, or requests. Work requires contact with patients and visitors which requires courtesy.

5. Knowledge of use needed for PPE equipment.

Working Conditions

1. Work requires performing unpleasant patient duties, housekeeping, cleaning duties and transportation of patients throughout the Medical Center with exposure to hazardous conditions.
