• Position Type: Campus Clerical/Parent Community Outreach Coordinator • Date Posted: 8/20/2024 • Location: Clements Parsons Elementary JOB TITLE: Parent Community Outreach Coordinator WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Nonexempt REPORTS TO: Campus Principal PAY GRADE: CP2 $13.60 per hour minimum starting pay rate DAYS IN POSITION: 187 Days DEPT./SCHOOL: Assigned Campus PRIMARY PURPOSE: Coordinate Title 1 parent involvement and community activities on the school campusQualifications:Education/Certification: High school diploma Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.Special Knowledge/Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent organizational skills Self-motivating Computer skills Creative thinker Experience: Experience with organizing group activities, preferred.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:1. Coordinate and attend parent involvement activities.2. Coordinate with Director of Communications to promote activities and opportunities for parents.3. Serve as the Campus Communications Liaison.4. Design a parent involvement packet describing campuses’ services and yearly schedule of activities.5. Arrange for Title 1 communications to be translated.6. Coordinate and conduct the Parent Advisory Council meetings.7. Provide on-going parent training.8. Attend regular meetings with Title 1 Program Coordinator.9. Conduct parent involvement program effectiveness survey annually.10. Maintain proper documentation.11. Maintain an inventory of all Title 1 parent involvement materials and equipment.12. Complies with federal and state requirements regarding parent involvement.13. Other duties required and assigned.EQUIPMENT USED: Personal computer, printer, copier, laminatorWorking Conditions:Mental Demands: Reading, communicate effectively (oral and written), and ability to operate personal computer.Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Some nights and weekends required.
