Otter Products is hiring for a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Fort Collins, CO! 

 

As the Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will support the mechanical engineering department. Your role will work on projects specific to your area while learning fundamentals of engineering. We encourage a mutually beneficial environment where you will gain practical skills through meaningful tasks and learn about the inner-workings of our various business operations within the Engineering Design team. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical engineering assistance in support of product focused projects
  • Work with cross functional teams
  • May use Computer Aided Design (CAD) or other design software and/or Excel to document process
  • Apply basics of engineering to analyze and solve technical problems
  • Support engineering teams with special projects as needed
  • Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in (preferably at the Junior level or higher) or recently completed (within 1 year) bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering or Engineering related field from an accredited university or college required.
  • Mechanical Engineer degree program preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including MS Excel is preferred
  • Prior experience in CAD required. Experience using SolidWorks is preferred
  • Prior experience in a lab setting preferred.
  • Available to work up to 40 hr/week during the Summer Internship typical term of May 19th, - August 8th required.
  • Located or will be located near our Fort Collins, CO office. Unfortunately relocation is not offered - housing and transportation are the intern's responsibility
