PURPOSE OF THE JOBCorporate Human Resource (HR) Leads provide functional expertise and leadership to our global corporate functions. This role will partner directly with Legal, Corporate Affairs and Aviation, working closely with the leaders and employees in each organization to deliver both strategic and tactical objectives to improve business performance through development and execution of our talent strategy and people processes (Talent Management, Performance Management, Employee Development, Organizational Effectiveness, Inclusion and Diversity, Compensation, and Talent Acquisition). Key priorities include increasing employee engagement, assessing and developing talent, ensuring proper organizational design and workforce alignment, and implementing HR initiatives, policies, and procedures.Reports to: The HR Lead reports to the Corporate HR Director.Span of Control: No direct reports but must exert indirect leadership to partner groups.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESHR Strategies, Plans and ApproachContributes to the development of HR strategy and is accountable for implementing plans that elevate the talent and capability of the supported organizations. Improves organizational results by measuring and assessing performance, effectively diagnosing and implementing innovative solutions. Develops and shares HR best practices across the business and function. Creates talent management strategies that put the right people in the right roles to drive achievement of business strategy and objectives.• Execute differentiated performance management and compensation.• Continuously improve assessment, selection, development and retention of best talent.• Continuously optimize work environment to ensure safe, engaged and productive employees.• Lead effective change management practices.• Assess team performance and facilitating interventions proactively.• Create and implement optimal organization design and structure to enable the strategy• Ensure BCC compliance and alignment with relevant regulations and requirements pertaining to the management of HR to minimize risk and exposure to the company.• Develop intentional strategies to attract, retain, and develop diverse talentBusiness PartnershipThe HR Lead is a trusted advisor and business partner to people leaders including Vice Presidents of Legal, Vice President of Investor Relations and Corporate Affairs, and Director of Aviation. The HR Lead contributes thought leadership to strategy discussions outside of the HR area and provides timely and meaningful coaching, with confidence and candor and consistent with OC values. This role will coach and educate leaders, so they are fully capable and accountable to own, improve and accelerate business results.Coaching and DevelopmentLeads, coaches and teaches leaders to create an environment of coaching and development where talent is grown through effective coaching, performance management and talent evaluation. Fills open positions with speed and with fully capable talent, using the appropriate mix of internal promotions and external recruitment to satisfy near-term performance and longer-term succession needs of the organization. Leverages and maximizes all tools, technology and resources to develop talent, including, OC Centers of Excellence and functional and business team members. Is active in personal development and viewed as a model to peers and client group.Functional Leadership• Teams with other leaders across the HR function to maximize performance, lead change, and grow talent.• Is an effective and participatory member of the Corporate HR team.
