The Senior Director, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) will support the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) in leading Pace University’s efforts in creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment. This position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategies and programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout all three campuses. The Senior Director will play a large role in shaping Pace’s culture and driving positive change.Job Duties• Develop a DEI strategy aligned with Pace’s mission, vision, and values. Lead implementation of initiatives and programs aimed at increasing diversity, fostering equity, and promoting inclusion.• Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate DEI principles into all aspects of Pace’s operations and culture.• Design and deliver training programs on topics such as: unconscious bias, diversity awareness, cultural competency and anti-racism.• Review existing policies and practices to identify areas for improvement in promoting DEI.• Provide guidance and support to various groups of students, staff, and faculty.• Collect and analyze data related to DEI metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.• Prepare and present regular reports to the Chief diversity officer and other senior leaders on DEI initiatives and outcomes.• Represent the university in external DEI initiatives, partnerships, and collaborations.• Provide support for efforts associated with the Barry M. and Jackie Gosin Center for Equity and Inclusion in connection with the Haub School of Law and Pleasantville campuses.• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion.• Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.Supervision ExercisedFull-time Director, Full-time DEI Associate (Staff), part-time DEI Associate (Faculty), along with two part-time DEI Coordinators (Events/Student Support).Work HoursMonday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with additional hours as needed.• Bachelor’s degree in related field and master’s degree are required.• At least five years of experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion roles, with experience in a leadership role is required. Experiencing managing organizational change s preferred.• Strong understanding of DEI principles, theories, and best practices.• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.• Proven ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.• Experience with data analysis and reporting related to diversity metrics.• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and personal development in the DEI field.About the InstitutionRanked in the top 9% of private US colleges that provide the best return on tuition investment, Pace University transforms the lives of its diverse students—academically, professionally, and socioeconomically.
