Weidner Apartment Homes is now hiring for a Painter to support our apartment communities in the Dallas/Fort Worth area! As a Painter, you are responsible for painting interior and exterior areas of the community. This role will be responsible for consistently delivering high quality made ready homes for move-in. A successful Painter is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work. In addition, this position needs to be accountable and attentive to provide excellent customer service skills when interacting with residents, associates and vendors.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for painting interior of homes and exterior of building, using the correct product and time efficiency as directed by management
• Perform detailed work with carpentry, drywall repairs and interior/exterior painting, etc
• Respond to all service requests related to cosmetic painting repairs for occupied units in a timely manner
• Ability to distinguish when full-paint or touch-up paint is needed, as well as knowledge and ability to identify correct paint sheen and color
• Monitor painting supplies and maintain equipment
• Ensure maintenance shop/custodial area is clean, organized, and professionally presentable at all times
• Regular and effective communication with Community Director
• Inspect, respond to, and follow up with safety issues, accidents, liabilities and emergency situations immediately

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years painting and drywall experience required
• Able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds, climb ladders and climb multiple flights of stairs at a time
• Able to use appliance dolly, push/pull up to 200 pounds
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to be on feet constantly for entire work shift
• Complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn & contribute on a daily basis
• Working knowledge of English; detail oriented, well organized
• Must agree to a criminal background check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
• US driver’s license, vehicle and vehicle insurance must be valid and unexpired at all times

Pay: $26.00 - $27.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
