Business Development Representative for Rental Housing - (US-based/Remote)

For one of our clients, we are currently seeking a highly skilled and proactive Business Development Representative to drive lead generation and partnership development efforts in the apartment building and property management sectors.

The ideal candidate will have experience in cold calling, outbound sales, and handling objections, with a strong ability to influence decision-makers and negotiate effectively. This is a full-time position requiring full dedication, meaning candidates cannot hold other jobs or be students. The role places a significant emphasis on the earlier and middle stages of the sales cycle, where your focus will be on generating new opportunities and building relationships. While this is not primarily a closing role, occasional closing opportunities may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

● Cold Calling: Proactively conduct outbound cold calls to apartment buildings and property management firms, introducing our services and generating interest.

● Outbound Sales Strategy: Implement outbound sales strategies to develop new B2B partnerships, focusing on the early and middle stages of the sales cycle.

● Objection Handling: Skillfully manage objections, addressing concerns and keeping prospects engaged in the conversation.

● B2B Partnership Development: Build strong, long-term relationships with apartment buildings and property managers, demonstrating the value of our services and establishing partnerships.

● Influencing & Negotiation: Use strong communication and influencing skills to negotiate terms and advance deals to the later stages, with some occasional closing when necessary.

● Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy sales pipeline by identifying and nurturing leads, progressing them through the early stages of the sales process.

● CRM Management & Reporting: Accurately document sales activity, track progress, and provide regular updates on key metrics within a CRM system.

Requirements / Preferred Skills:

● Experience in Cold Calling: Demonstrated success in cold calling and engaging with prospective clients in a B2B environment.

● Outbound Sales Aptitude: Proven experience in outbound sales, with a strong focus on the earlier and middle stages of the sales process.

● Objection Handling Skills: Ability to effectively handle objections, address concerns, and guide conversations towards a positive outcome.

● B2B Partnership Building: Experience in developing B2B partnerships, particularly with apartment buildings, property managers, or related industries.

● Influencing & Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to influence others and negotiate favorable terms to move partnerships forward.

● Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of clearly conveying ideas and fostering relationships.

● Full-Time Availability: This is a full-time position, and the candidate must be fully available without any conflicting employment or academic commitments.

The role focuses on developing leads and building relationships, rather than solely closing deals. However, candidates should be comfortable occasionally closing when needed.
