Live Moderation Specialist

Palmstreet is the #1 live-shopping platform for exotic plants and handicrafts, and is rapidly expanding into more categories. Our vision is to become the online main street of the world, where fun experiences and unique products are accessible anytime, anywhere.

As a live moderation specialist, you will be responsible for assisting buyers and sellers during livestream sales, handling inquiries from our buyers and sellers, providing real-time support during livestreaming sessions and identifying issues in the Palmstreet community that may be affecting one or more users.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer live support/moderation bot requests in a timely manner

  • Watch new sellers' first live to support them in starting out on the app

  • Attend random livestreams of seller with ongoing issues, frequent problems, etc.

  • Randomly check into lives throughout your shift to show Palmstreet presence and support

  • Check product listings to ensure they meet Palmstreet standards

  • Assist with support DMs when needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • A reliable computer, smart phone and internet connection.

  • Excellent American English reading and writing skills.

  • A functional computer and cell phone and high-speed internet connection

  • 2-3 years of rich customer service experience and able to handle multiple customer issues simultaneously.

  • Time spent living in the US.

  • Courteous and detailed written communication skills.

  • Strong learning ability and initiative.

  • Excellent technical skills - phone app technical skills are vital in this role.

Preferred Skills:

  • Native English speaking, writing and listening skills.

  • Experience working in e-commerce platforms.

  • Practical experience in documenting and reporting relevant information.

  • An interest in plants and/or crafts.

Additional Information:

  • Location: This position is fully remote

  • Job Type: This is an independent contractor role

  • Compensation: The hourly compensation for this role is between $7USD - $8USD/hr

  • Shifts: This position will work four 10 hour days, Thursday-Sunday (Monday/Tuesday off), from 2:30pm to 11:00pm (Mexico Time) with a 1-hour lunch.
