The problem: Every minute matters in fire response.  As climate change amplifies the intensity of wildfires—with longer fire seasons, dryer fuels, and faster winds—new ignitions spread faster and put more communities at risk. Today, most wildfires are detected by bystanders and reported via 911, meaning it can take hours to detect a fire, verify its exact location and size, and dispatch first responders. Fire authorities need a faster way to detect, confirm, and pinpoint fires so that they can quickly respond—preventing small flare-ups from becoming devastating infernos.

About Pano: Pano is a venture-backed early-stage climate tech startup that is the leader in wildfire early detection, leveraging the latest advancements in IoT, AI, satellites, and SaaS software to deliver actionable intelligence to customers. Pano leverages mountaintop cameras and satellites to detect the first traces of smoke and put real-time fire images in the hands of asset owners and first responders to speed up containment. Pano is already partnering with major utilities, fire authorities, and government agencies in the USA and Australia. The Role 

We're looking for an entrepreneurial product manager to join our small and wildly-talented team, and help us imagine and build products that help firefighters protect lives and our forests. You’ll work on a variety of projects, both for internal and external customers. You will work in collaboration with engineering, design, customer success, and operations to develop products and processes in a stable, scalable, and cost-efficient way.

• Define and manage the entire product lifecycle from product concept and definition through development, detailed product specs, and launch, in close collaboration with engineering and design.
• Influence the product line strategy and roadmap including long-term vision, user segment insights, technical innovation, market trends, and platform capabilities.
• Be the voice of the customer, curating product definition and communicating requirements from our customers.
• Drive decision making on nuanced product trade offs informed by key user journeys, technical insights, and product strategy.

• 4+ years of experience in product management.
• BS/BA Degree in a technology related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, and process definition skills.

• 2+ years of operating in an early-stage startup
• 2+ years of experience in a top-tier strategic consulting firm.
• Experience building AI products or complex UX workflows.
• Data analytics using SQL
• Passion for climate change adaptation and/or firefighting.
