As a Paralegal, you will join us on our journey and undertake a truly valuable role responsible for supporting the inquiry team and providing legal support for The Post Office Inquiry case. Tasks including but not limited to document discovery and disclosure, commercial sensitivity and POD reviews, preparatory work for hearings, and other associated legal issues as they arise.

You will be reporting into the Senior Legal Counsel and working alongside the inquiry team in the company as well as the wider business.

This role offers you an exciting opportunity to develop your understanding of complex compensation relating to the Inquiry case as well as exposure to senior stakeholders to develop your legal knowledge.

What you’ll need to succeed

You will have a good amount of experience working as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant. Previous experience of dealing with an inquiry case would be highly advantageous. In addition, you will:

Have experience working in the legal sector, as a Legal Assistant, Executive or Paralegal

A related degree, or equivalent. A Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) or completing the Legal Practice Course (LPC) are desirable but not essential depending upon experience

Personable and confident but also resilient and able to deal with challenges from senior stakeholders within the business

Delivery focused and proactive, able to work autonomously and manage multiple instructions and responsibilities.

An ability to relay complicated pieces of information in an easy-to-understand manner

Comfortable working with technology with a keen enthusiasm for learning new systems
