At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Warehouse Operator based in West Jordan!
Position Overview
The Warehouse Operator supports the Flow department and Packaging department in the manufacturing plant primarily in the dry materials warehouse with raw materials or in a refrigerated warehouse transporting the finished palletized yogurt and loading on to trucks for shipment.
Main Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial equipment to unload/load ,stack, store, move waste from packaging lines, stage materials and product safely
- Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas.
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free from damage. Report quality variances.
- Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring accuracy of orders pulled, is loaded, and shipped.
- Input and extract information from the programs used for warehouse management systems.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety; comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
- Maintain a clean work area through daily sanitation.
Essential Skills
- Ability to train & operate powered industrial equipment and navigate in tight spaces and high traffic areas.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to use a computer, have basic math skills and good communication skills.
- Encompass strong attention to detail, and good mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to perform physical demands in a fast paced environment working up to 12 hour shifts.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Must have the ability to understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required
Physical Demands
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; taste and/or smell, talk and hear.
- Ability to bend & stoop at waist level as well as bend & twist neck and head.
- The employee must regularly endure repetitive minimal to moderate lifting10 lbs. up to 52 lbs and occasionally lift to 75 lbs.
- Occasionally may need to climb on stairs, step ladders, stool.
- Ability to work in a cold environment of 40 degrees as well as going outdoors (infrequent).
- Ability to work up to 12 hour shifts.
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and may be exposed to loud noises in the plant. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and may be exposed to extreme cold, risk of electrical shock and vibration.
