The IUPUI School of Education is committed to examining our collective role in improving the human condition. Job Summary


Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Performs select administrative works unique to the Great Lakes Equity Center under the direction of the center’s director and executive director, including managing the center’s primary calendar, maintaining calendars for center personnel, arranges meetings, conferences, and teleconferences, dissemination information, and arranges and processes personnel travel.
  • Serves as receptionist and liaison to faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the public by addressing general questions, preparing, composing, and disseminating correspondence, receiving, and screening telephone calls and visitors, and collecting mail.
  • Adds events and appointments to the center’s calendars including all relevant information and invitees, updates scheduled events as appropriate, coordinates internal and external appointments with center partners, and manages scheduling for the associate directors.
  • Arranges and processes travel for center directors and specialists.
  • Proofreads and prepares documents for dissemination. Executes mass and targeted dissemination of center information.

Qualifications


EDUCATION

Required

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED)/ High School Equivalency test

Preferred

  • Associate degree in relevant field

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 3 years administrative work experience in a professional office

SKILLS

Required

  • Skilled in Office 365 Outlook Email and Calendars
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow complex and multiple step procedures
  • Highly skilled in oral and written communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to receive constructive feedback, and work effectively with multiple supervisors
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Skilled in project management
  • Time management and organizational skills, and demonstrates a high commitment to quality
  • Demonstrates excellent judgment, problem-solving, and decision making

Preferred

  • Knowledgeable in IU CRM or Salesforce CRM System
  • Knowledgeable in Cloud Marketing

Indianapolis, Indiana

This is an in-person position

Advertised Salary


$20 per hour

Work Hours


Work schedule is Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 20 hours per week
