APPLIED HEALTH SCIENCE (BL-APHS-IUBLA)
The Child Health and Obesity Prevention (CHOP) Research Group at Indiana University Bloomington in Indiana is seeking to hire a part-time Research Associate. This is a position that can either be in person or entirely remote. The ideal candidate must be willing to work about 15-20 hours per week. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work independently, and great attention to detail are requirements for this position. The pay rate is between $40-$55 per hour depending on the level of the candidate’s level of experience.
Research Focus of the CHOP Group
The CHOP Group focuses on obesity prevention in young children. Our work focuses on understanding environments (e.g., home) in which young children spend significant amounts of their daily lives. We also develop and implement innovative interventions/programs to promote healthy dietary and physical activity behaviors in young children and families. We implement studies in community settings, including the home and child care programs in rural and urban areas.

The position will last through the academic calendar year from August 2023-May 2024. There is a possibility for renewal after this timeframe, but this is dependent on the candidate’s performance and availability of funds.
