What it's aboutPartners Group is seeking a senior transaction counsel with an interest in building upon their existing transactional experience to develop a career across private markets investing.You will support Partners Group's investment professionals in critical legal matters during the investment process. Your main responsibility will be to manage the key legal and investment structuring aspects of various investment processes, including reviewing key terms of transaction documents, addressing concerns from investment committees and liaising with external counsel in various jurisdictions.Responsibilities :• Represent legal matters at Partners Group's investment committees;• Provide legal support to investment professionals across the Americas on critical matters and across all of Partners Group's asset classes;• Review and discuss the advice of external counsel where required;• Ensure adherence to Partners Group standards and processes;• Provide internal legal assessments (conflicts of interests, opinions, etc) to ensure adherence with internal policies;• Support other teams (including, but not limited to, tax, structuring, compliance, and general counsel's office) with investment and other relevant legal queries on an ad-hoc basis; and• Contribute to initiatives aimed at identifying and implementing areas for improvement and / or seeking to enhance existing processes within the team, department or the wider firm.• newspaper h1 font-size : 250%; font-family : Lato; h2 font-size : 200%; p font-size : 100%; What we expect• Top academic credentials and qualified lawyer;• 3+ years of extensive post-qualification experience at a law firm, focusing on M&A and / or funds with experience serving as a lead associate or counsel on such transactions;• Detail oriented with excellent analytical and project management skills;• Adaptable and solutions oriented with an understanding of market terms;• A team-player with superior communication and interpersonal skills;• A self-starter who takes initiative and makes things happen;• Experience by way of an in-house secondment and / or a second language being a strong plus; and• Clear career vision : understanding of the firm's business and industry.What we offerPartners Group is a global financial institution that retains the culture, pace and agility of a start-up.
