The 24-bed Neuro Care Center unit will focus on care for patients afflicted by stroke or neurological injury. Our nurses will work side-by-side with the dedicated expert physicians from the Regional Brain Institute to provide the highest quality specialized care. The Oklahoma Stroke and Neurological Institute at Hillcrest Medical Center is nationally recognized as a DNV Comprehensive Stroke Center and was recently awarded the 2020 Get with the Guidelines – Stroke GOLD PLUS award with Honor Roll Elite by the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association.

Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do
The Patient Care Tech—Neuro Care Center is responsible for delivery of patient care.
The successful candidate will be able to:

Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes

Evaluate patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes

Assist with the plan of care, evaluate, modify and coordinate care, and communicate well with other disciplines

Maintain confidentiality with all information

Perform any and all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience
-
Competent to perform in at least two general areas of practice (cross trained and cross competent to cover more than one hospital service, role, or function).
Education/Certification
-
High school diploma or GED
-
Basic Life Support
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of patient assistance and care procedures
-
Knowledge of basic methods of personal hygiene

Committed to health and safety standards

Ability to apply basic nursing techniques

Understanding of medical terminology
