You are knowledgeable of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, security and operations. You thrive at simplifying hard problems and can articulate the solution to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Job Description:As a Senior Software Engineer (DevOps) on the Braintree Engineering Team, you’ll lead initiatives to build and maintain robust, production-grade systems, leveraging your deep technical skills to solve complex problems and drive improvements. You'll collaborate closely with fellow engineers and other stakeholders, guiding projects from inception through to deployment.Your leadership and technical acumen will support Braintree’s mission to deliver seamless and secure payment solutions. You'll also have opportunities to mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.You will be fully owning the Braintree release engineering platform and tool set, which requires a strong DevOps foundation. You will be responsible for uptime and quality of the platform, including helping engineering teams self-serve their build/release pipeline and providing on-call support for critical incidents as we support engineering teams across the globe.• Must have 3+ experience working on AWS cloud with strong Linux background• 5+ years of Jenkins administration and/or experience developing automated CI/CD systems• 3+ years of software development experience in any technologies is highly preferred• Experience with Ruby, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, GoLang is preferred• Experience owning complex software systems in production (development to deployment to operations)Additional Job Description:PayPal is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.Actual Compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to work location, and relevant skills and experience.The total compensation for this practice may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable), equity, and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
