We’re looking for a Payroll Manager to join our team.


Candidate will report to Finance Director. Position requires understanding of payroll tax laws, Workday and Oracle Time and Labor systems. Candidate must enjoy problem solving, assisting users and resolving issues quickly. Must have confidence and be a quick learner.


Hybird role with flexibility to come into the Fort Mill SC office as needed

What We Need & What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Responsibilities:
  • Full management and oversight of the payroll team. Oversees the daily workflow of the department
  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of any direct vendor feeds / integrations.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Review and research payroll tax notices.
  • Review of quarterly tax reports, including validation of tax filings.
  • Off-cycle payroll coordination (i.e. bonus payrolls, on-demand payments, termination payouts).
  • All year-end duties and reconciliations. Managing Payroll Team to complete payroll processing on time
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Who You Are (Qualifications):
Qualifications:

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • Five to Seven years of related experience required.
  • Payroll knowledge for multiple countries – US, Canada, Mexico (a plus)
