E-Learning Designer (US-based Edtech Startup)

Work Arrangement: Fully remote—work from anywhere with overlapping Mountain or Eastern Time working hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: Up to $1,600 per month, based on skills and experience

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week

Locations: Remote, open to candidates in the Philippines

Role Overview:

As an E-Learning Designer, you’ll collaborate closely with the VP of Learning Design and CEO to create and enhance educational modules for a diverse range of professional topics. Your role will focus on developing high-quality learning experiences, responding to client feedback, and contributing to the growth of a dynamic live-group learning platform.

Your Impact:

Your work will be instrumental in crafting best-in-class learning modules, improving existing content, and supporting the overall success of the company’s educational offerings. You’ll play a crucial role in shaping the future of learning design and driving the company’s mission forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Visual Design and Asset Creation:
    • Develop aesthetically pleasing, error-free, and compelling learning assets, with a strong focus on Google Slides.
    • Ensure consistency in design across all materials, creating new visual content that enhances viewer engagement.
    • Build custom visual assets for learning modules and client-specific needs, maintaining high standards of design quality.
  2. Module Development and Learning Design:
    • Draft lesson plans, outlines, and create new learning modules for the company’s catalog.
    • Address unique learning design challenges by integrating effective visuals and interactive elements into modules.
    • Tailor modules to client needs while incorporating innovative design solutions that improve the learning experience.
  3. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
    • Review and enhance existing learning materials, ensuring they meet internal standards and customer expectations.
    • Gather and act on feedback to improve content performance and visual impact.
    • Ensure the quality of content delivery, focusing on both functionality and aesthetics.
  4. Content Creation and Communication Support:
    • Create marketing collateral, blog posts, and other content to support communication and outreach efforts.
    • Collaborate on various projects, ensuring all communications maintain visual and content consistency.

Must-Have:

  • Passion for education, learning, or professional development.
  • Proficiency in creating compelling slide presentations (PowerPoint, Google Slides).
  • Exceptional written English skills with the ability to draft clear, professional copy.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to project completion.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Technologically adept and quick to learn new tools.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience in teaching, ed-tech, or professional learning and development.
  • Familiarity with Asana or similar project management tools.
