The Role:
We're seeking a Senior Accountant to join our remote-first finance team, reporting directly to the
Controller. This role is crucial in maintaining our financial operations and contributing to our
company's growth.
Core Responsibilities:
● Materially contribute to the monthly close process, including preparation and review of
journal entries, account reconciliations, and detailed financial analysis
● Manage accounts payable operations through Bill.com and employee expenses through
Expensify; manage external relationship with AP provider
● Drive sales tax compliance using Avalara
● Partner with external auditors during annual audits
● Design and implement accounting processes and internal controls
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives
Required Qualifications:
● Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
● 4+ years of accounting experience, with emphasis on month-end close processes
● Strong knowledge of US GAAP
● Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, macros)
● Experience with accounting software platforms
● Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
● NetSuite experience
● Bill.com and Expensify administration
● Avalara sales tax software experience
● Experience in tech or marketplace companies
● CPA license or active candidate
Working At Peerspace
The annual salary range for this role is $85,000 to $100,000. The actual salary amount will vary
depending on the applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities as well as internal equity and market
data.
