Are you living your life's work?Entity- CorporateDepartment- IS - EpicLocation - Centre Square West Tower- 1500 Market StreetHours - M-F, HybridSummary:• Responsible for the management, logical and physician design and implementation of the clinical and/or business applications that support strategic objectives. Provides technical and architectural leadership for solutions and develops and influences the technical objectives of assignment.Responsibilities:• Manages the application development life cycle including definition and documentation of project scope and implementation plans.• Researches, analyzes, designs, proposes and delivers solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies.• Creates project and application architecture deliverables that are consistent with architecture principles, standards, methodologies and best practices.• Leads technical design sessions with the development teams, including detailed design specifications and ensuring that architecture standards are followed.• Evaluates and makes recommendations and decisions on technical design as appropriate.• Works with business clients and product owners to review business drivers, needs and strategies to anticipate future business and technology needs.• Communicates implications of architectural decisions, technology costs, benefits and implementation requirements to business and IT Leadership.• Defines and validates non-functional (technical) requirements and establishes traceability between requirements and application architecture/design.• Contributes to the implementation of innovative project solutions through hands-on development and/or configuration activities.• Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures• Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organizationEducation or Equivalent Experience:• Bachelor's degree. (Required)• 3+ years of experience leading technical application projects ranging from simple to complex. (Required)• 5+ years of experience working directly with application suite on technical/workflow build, maintenance and project related tasks. (Required)• Core application proficiency across multiple areas. (Required)Skills/Abilities:• PROJECT/CHANGE MANAGEMENT: Demonstrated success in coordinating the activities and deliverables of project teams• COMMUNICATION: Ability to communicate technical information and ideas• COMMUNICATION: Able to translate complex information into simple explanations• COMMUNICATION: Demonstrated interpersonal/verbal communication skills• Ability to manage projects from inception to successful implementation.• Fluent understanding of vendor application infrastructure and design, able to articulate how data flows through application to downstream systems.We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
