We are adding a Systems Administrator to the team. This hired individual will be responsible for deploying and managing both on-prem and public cloud-based systems for our customers organizations. They collaborate with teams to identify optimal solutions, modify, secure, and patch systems and ensure systems meet the organization's needs.What you will do:Deploy and maintain private and public cloud systems, including Windows, Linux and serverless platforms, in accordance with best practices• May, with oversight, deploy, debug, and execute initiatives related to cloud computing, including modular, container base solutions• Deploy and maintain a catalog of cloud-based products, ensuring efficient data storage and adherence to security policies• Deploy and maintain a VMware based virtual hosting environment within the private cloud• Collaborate with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions• Interact with customers, provide private and public cloud support, and make recommendations based on customer needs• Modify and improve existing enterprise private and public cloud solutions• Educate customer developer teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives• Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers• Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.• Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts• Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage spaceQualificationsRequired Qualifications:• Bachelors Degree and 5 years of expereince. Additional 4 years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree• Experience as a systems administrator or similar role• Must have some Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS experience• Must have strong Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems support experience• Must have experience deploying and managing a VMware virtual hosting environment• Troubleshooting and analytical skills• Strong communication and collaboration skills• Must be a US Citizen• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.Preferred Qualifications:• Relevant and current industry certifications such as those provided by AWS and Azure are preferred• Active Public Trust is a plusBenefits:At Peraton, our benefits are designed to help keep you at your best beyond the work you do with us daily. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
