Systems Engineer IP Networking - job 1 of 2

Responsibilities

Ready to make an impact? Seeking a cleared Senior level Systems Engineer with IP networking background, to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop a next generation satellite terminal.

 

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

  • Identification and analysis of customer requirements
  • Development of system design to meet requirements
  • Selection of COTS products to support design and configuration
  • Integration of system components, and development
  • Maintenance of system drawings and other design artifacts

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Systems, or related field of study with at least 5 years of professional experience in systems or network engineering
  • Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain/pass a polygraph
  • Working knowledge of IP networking concepts and technologies: IP Addressing / Subnetting, Routing and Switching fundamentals, and TCP/IP Protocol Suite
  • Experience configuring Juniper and Cisco network devices or similar vendor products
  • Proficient using Microsoft Visio
  • Active Security+ certification or equivalent

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with protocols such as BGP & IPsec
  • Experience with Cisco ASA/Firepower
  • CCNA or other industry standard network certification
  • Familiarity with SATCOM or other forms of wireless communications
  • Experience working with IP capable satellite modems
  • System and network testing experience
