AI Inference Engineer

Perplexity, a rapidly growing company in the AI space, is seeking an AI Inference Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in ML systems, deep learning frameworks, and deploying real-time model serving at scale.

Skills

Experience with ML systems and deep learning frameworks
Familiarity with common LLM architectures and inference optimization techniques
Experience with deploying reliable, distributed, real-time model serving at scale
Optional: Understanding of GPU architectures or experience with GPU kernel programming using CUDA

Responsibilities

Develop APIs for AI inference used by internal and external customers
Benchmark and optimize inference stack
Improve system reliability and observability
Implement LLM inference optimizations
