Job Description:Stocking Clerk• Category: Stores• Schedule: Part_timeCome be a part of an establishment that values innovation and cooperation to aid in the most exhilarating missions imaginable!What you'll do:• Pay attention to the smallest details of guest needs and preferences, from their room preferences to dietary restrictions.• Assist clients in identifying the right merchandise to meet their needs.• Display a deep commitment to the safety, comfort, and appropriate management of all living beings.• Perform cashiering duties.• Undertake supplementary duties to aid the store in reaching its assigned sales goal.• Adequate inventory management is necessary to ensure that products are appropriately stocked and displayed with correct pricing.• Observe and respect the prescribed operational protocols and policies as a means of achieving standardized procedures.• Evaluate guest questions and refer them to the appropriate team member, such as the Guest Experience Leader or Manager on Duty, if necessary.Key Accountabilities:• Without necessarily requiring any accommodations, the incumbent should be able to consistently fulfill the stated responsibilities and duties.• Petco upholds high standards for the care of live animals by providing proper attention and adhering to their guidelines, such as conducting hourly animal health checks and completing wellness cards.• Shows proficiency in verbal and written communication that is executed professionally, effectively, and aimed at advancing the interests of the company.• The Petco assistant is committed to providing each customer with personalized attention by highlighting the products that cater to their specific needs, thus increasing their chances of making a purchase.• Effectively implements the Welcome to the Family program to increase customer satisfaction.• Our commitment is to provide guests with the best possible experience, whether through Instacart, Extended Aisle, Repeat Delivery, or other channels.• Deals with all point-of-sale-related duties including cash handling, credit and check sales, and processing returns and exchanges.• Assists in ensuring merchandise is properly stocked and faced according to established standards.• Processes cash register transactions along with a guest carry-out service involving merchandise that weighs up to 50 pounds per transfer.• Maintains adherence to anti-theft policies.• Assists with the proper transportation of merchandise, ensuring that the store is well supplied and inventory counts are correct by following established procedures.• Maintaining the store animals, birds, reptiles, and fish in their best condition necessitates providing exceptional care and securing them in habitats that are clean, safe, and secure.
