As the VP of Sales at PetDesk, you will drive our independent sales strategy in North America and lead a high-performing sales team. Reporting to the head of North American sales, you'll oversee net new sales, revenue expansion, enablement, and training programs that align our go-to-market strategy with company goals. Your leadership will promote a quota attainment and customer obsessed culture, and you will collaborate with key departments to achieve high retention and significant revenue growth. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader skilled in Challenger and SPICED/SPIN methodologies, combining big-picture vision and executive presence with tactical execution. Apply if you're excited to:- Develop, implement, and track strategic sales plans consistent with PetDesk’s go-to-market strategy to achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales goals. Utilize Challenger and SPIN sales methodologies to deeply understand the voice of independent veterinary clinics and uncover customers’ core needs
- Lead and scale a team, comprising both remote and in-office members, ensuring uniform performance standards across the board. Oversee Sales Managers, Sales Development Managers, and Sales Enablement, ensuring accountability for behaviors and results. As a hands-on leader, you will participate in role plays, customer calls, Gong reviews, and trade shows, setting a strong example and demonstrating commitment to the team's success.
- Ensure an effective and efficient Go-To-Market plan, focusing sales resources for maximum return. Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Enablement, Product, and Customer Success to ensure we have the right tools, talk tracks, roadmaps, value propositions, differentiation, concessions, and solution sets to meet and exceed quotas.
- Standardize sales processes and enablement tools to increase close rates and shorten sales cycles. Implement performance management guidelines that are fair and equitable across the sales organization
- Gather and analyze market data (i.e. meetings, tradeshows, webinars), including vet market characteristics, potentials, and competitive analysis, to inform sales independent strategies and product pricing
- Champion a strong sales compensation strategy that motivates and aligns the team with PetDesk’s annual objectives
- Partner with Revenue Operations and Finance to ensure efficient sales processes that support scalable and profitable growth. Maintain high data hygiene and pipeline health standards in Salesforce, driving continuous improvement in sales operations
About You- 8+ years of progressive experience in B2B/B2B2C sales, ideally within rapidly growing, private equity or VC-backed SaaS organizations from $50M to $100M in ARR
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and key sales metrics in a digital-first sales environment
- Experience scaling companies from early revenue stages to $50M+ and beyond, focusing on high-velocity SMB sales
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, onboard, and retain high-performing remote sales teams
- Experience managing Sales Development Representatives, Account Executives, managing managers
- Strong analytical skills with experience in market analysis, trend identification, and strategic opportunity development
- Experience designing and implementing sales compensation and incentive plans, setting sales targets, and providing accurate forecasts
- Expertise in Challenger and SPIN sales methodologies, with a history of successfully applying these techniques in complex sales environments
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Marketing to drive high-quality leads and achieve high closure rates
- Experience working with Salesforce and SaaS vertical software; experience in niche vertical markets with SMB and enterprise clients is a plus
