PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Pharmacist is responsible for all aspects of Dispensary Operations within their facility including inventory, personnel, and security with an emphasis on customer relations. The individual responsibilities are shared equally by all Pharmacists within the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate with patients while protecting their confidential health and drug information
- Provide counsel and consultation patients regarding medical conditions
- Solicit information on a customer’s medical history to give appropriate medical advice
- Access, input and retrieve information from the cannabis inventory system utilizing online portals
- Operate the point-of-sale system for cannabis sales.
- Fill, verify and label certifications
- Maintain reporting and adhere to Green Leaf Medical’s document retention policy
- Ensure compliance with all company procedures and state laws, rules, and regulations
- Follow company procedures in cases of dispensing incidents, notification, report completion
- Maintain supply and drug inventory levels by following defined ordering practices
- Comply to all security/diversion procedures including setting the alarm, locking the building, and securing the safe(s)
- Coach and execute counseling discussions with pharmacy technicians and dispensary support staff
- Participate in dispensary staff scheduling and all operational meetings
- Support the General Manager in providing a performance reviews and evaluation of subordinate staff
- Respond to alarm calls and other security issues
- Assist the General Manager in coordinating/implementing the training and development of all dispensary staff
- Interview hourly dispensary non-exempt employees

EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science or Pharm D. Degree
EXPERIENCE:
Familiarity with a laboratory environment preferred
1 year of experience in the cannabis industry preferred
