Senior Accountant II
Pie, a commercial insurance facilitator, is seeking a Senior Accountant II to join their diverse team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of accounting experience, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to process improvement.
Skills
- Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and insurance accounting standards
- Detail-oriented with thorough documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and Excel skills
- Familiarity with financial systems like Sage Intacct and Workiva
Responsibilities
- Participate in the monthly accounting close process
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Assist in preparing financial statements and footnotes
- Improve existing accounting processes and internal controls
- Support year-end financial audits and quarterly reviews
- Collaborate with the Finance team on data analysis and process enhancements
- Assist other departments with accounting and operational needs
- Engage in ad hoc projects and requests
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
