JOB TITLE: Client Account Executive

REPORTS TO:     Internal Sales Manager

LOCATION:      Sterling Heights, MI, United States of America. Office based

WORKING HOURS: 7.30 am - 4.30pm

A little bit about the role

Are you a motivated and experienced professional eager to help grow a business? We are seeking a Client Account Executive to join our USA office and support the sales team. In this role, you'll take ownership of building and nurturing strong relationships with strategic customers and prospects, working closely with the Area Sales Representative. You'll leverage your ability to identify customer needs and capitalize on business opportunities, driving our growth goals through both existing and new relationships. Some of your key responsibilities

  • Proactively seek new business & generate leads through outbound sales calls to prospective customers.
  • Make contact with potential customers through calling, direct mails and email marketing campaigns.
  • Develop relationships with key customers via email and telephone to establish a rapport and set up meetings as required for Sales Reps.
  • Liaising with customers regarding sales requirements.
  • Understand our product ranges, apply to the needs of the customer and respond efficiently with a plan on how to meet these needs with our furniture in mind.
  • Qualify leads and take them to the point of quotation request.
  • Following up on quotes.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities, such as growth areas, trends etc.
  • Research and seek out the appropriate contact within an organization.
  • Adding contacts into the BuildCentral system.
  • Consistent and detailed use of CRM system to track and manage all sales activities and pipeline opportunities.
  • Attending meetings and exhibitions when appropriate.
  • Answering incoming calls.
  • Cover for team members as and when required with administrative support tasks.
  • Spend four hours minimum on the phone, two hours in the morning, two hours in the afternoon, making 15-20 connected calls a day.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks or projects to support the wider team as directed.
  • A strong background in sales/business development and developing strong customer relationships, with a proven track record of meeting sales quotas, preferably via phone
  • Confident in making proactive outbound calls.
  • To be proactive at all times not just reactive.
  • Have a persuasive nature and strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritise urgent and important work over non urgent or important tasks.
  • Confident, approachable and happy to turn your hand to anything required.
  • Must be passionate about the brand, be flexible and have a can-do attitude.
  • Happy to work to tight deadlines and KPI’s.
  • A high degree of self-motivation and drive.
  • Strong commercial awareness / business acumen.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High appreciation for accountability, punctuality & routine.
