Overview

The Associate Product Manager will be passionate about helping our members achieve their fitness, health, and wellness goals. The Associate Product Manager will be charged with supporting high performing cross-functional project teams, focusing on achieving aggressive growth goals for member acquisition, engagement, and retention.

 

This is a hybrid role working out of our Hampton, NH office.

Responsibilities

  • Support the product development process from end to end: document existing processes and functional requirements, manage and prioritize backlogs, create detailed user stories, and support the development and launch of new features.
  • Partner with engineering, QA, UX, scrum masters, and other key technology team stakeholders as part of the ongoing development lifecycle.
  • For each project, gather and provide clear ticket requirements for UX and development teams, participate in ongoing project routines (standups, refinements with the working development team, sprint planning), complete ticket signoffs, and participate in end-to-end testing.
  • Develop an understanding of our customers: their needs, their journeys, and their pain points. Support research and testing activities, e.g., surveys, concept testing, clickstream data, and A/B testing. Transform insights into opportunity hypotheses.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to surface feedback and opportunities for new projects and features.
  • Collaborate with product leaders and strategy to define KPIs for new features. Measure and monitor business metrics and KPIs. A/B test and track impact on acquisition, engagement, and retention. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams; including engineering, design, marketing, and operations to deliver exceptional digital experiences
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously 
  • Collaborate with product leadership to support the product vision and align it with the overarching business and digital strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or a related field
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in product management. Other product development or business analysis experiences are also valuable, particularly with demonstrated product ownership.
  • Demonstrated passion for building products and services that customers will love
  • Working knowledge of agile development methodologies and how highly scaled digital/mobile products come together. Familiarity with agile project management tools like Jira, Confluence, Advanced Roadmaps, a plus
  • Strong technical intuition. Technical background, a plus
  • Familiarity with web and app development tech stack, a plus
  • Understanding of digital fitness trends, and subscription based economic models, a plus
  • Entrepreneurial spirit; must have demonstrated the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, creative problem-solving and initiative. Experience in an “Intra-preneurial” role a plus: taking products from inception to launch within a larger organization
  • Strong initiative, bias for action, and reflexive sense of ownership. Highly self-motivated and independent
  • Extremely detail-oriented, efficient, and organized with an exceptional ability to establish priorities and objectives, including managing aggressive deadlines
  • Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to persuasively communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Able to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals, including internal and external stakeholders, agency partners, and cross-functional partners
  • Dedicated learner with a natural curiosity for consistent growth
  • Exhibits comfort, ease, and flexibility working in an extremely fast-paced ever-changing, deadline-driven environment
