Job Description

As part of Playground's engineering team you will be building new products from zero-to-one and ensuring existing features stay best in class. You will be playing a crucial role in shaping the future of child care, working directly on products being used by thousands of child care businesses, agencies, and government organizations. We're looking for self-starters who thrive in taking projects from concept to reality, often working independently with high ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to design and build new features that delight our users.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in React and TypeScript.

  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.

  • Interact directly with our customers to gather feedback and understand their needs.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our frontend architecture.

  • Build out new features from zero-to-one and improve existing functionality in our webapp

Requirements

  • Proficiency in React and TypeScript or JavaScript.

  • 5+ years of experience in frontend development.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Experience

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on frontend technologies.

Compensation:

  • The annual salary range for this position is $190,000 - $240,000, subject to standard withholding and applicable taxes

  • Job level and actual compensation will be decided on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified
