About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled software tester / QA to join our dynamic team and ensure the high quality and performance of our mobile app, desktop app, and web platforms. As a software tester / QA, you will be responsible for identifying and documenting issues and collaborating closely with the development team to ensure product delivery to our users. You will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth user experience and maintaining the reliability of our applications across multiple platforms.

• Contract Duration: 1 month, automatically renewed unless cancelled upfront. Performance reviews scheduled every 3 months

• Working hours: 9AM - 5PM Eastern time (ET)

• Work Environment: This is a dynamic environment with challenging features, releases, and user-facing issues. Weekly work hours may exceed 40 hours per week, with overtime hours being paid

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for mobile apps, desktop apps, and web platforms to ensure the functionality, usability, performance, and security of our software.

• Conduct manual testing of applications, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.

• Identify, record, and track software defects using bug tracking systems, and work closely with developers to ensure proper resolution of issues.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to understand project requirements and provide QA insights throughout the software development life cycle.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.

• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in mobile, desktop, and web technologies to enhance the quality assurance process.

• As a remote company, we expect that you actively initiate and participate in discussions, conversations, and channels relevant to your role and projects.

Bonuses:

• At least 4 years of experience as a software tester or a similar role, with a focus on testing mobile apps, desktop apps, and web platforms.

• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Proficiency in exploratory testing and testing tools

• Experience with bug tracking systems and version control systems.

• Solid knowledge of testing concepts such as functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a remote team environment.

Salary Range:

The hourly rate for this role is $7.00hr and is paid in USD.
