Poll Everywhere is looking for a Director of Marketing to turn broad usage at Fortune 1000 (80%+) and R1 Universities (100%) into Sales Accepted Leads while growing free and self-service usage. We are looking for a Director who can turn opportunities into traffic and leads alongside a dynamic and growing team. We expect Marketing to grow traffic and leads as well in Product Marketing releases, communications with customers, and product education.
A major expectation for this role is to unify and align the Marketing team's objectives, projects, and metrics across top, middle, and bottom funnel tactics to drive more holistic and comprehensive outcomes. The Director of Marketing will assume ownership of the full customer journey through all marketing touchpoints and across all internal stakeholders.

Objectives of the role - Foster collaboration across departments including Sales, Success, Support, and Product teams to build better customer relationships, bring new Poll Everywhere products to the market, inform future plans, nurture existing customers, and deliver leads to Sales.
- Achieve growth in ICP leads delivered to Sales.
- Build content strategies to optimize the self-service customer journey from onboarding to upselling.
- Elevate the Senior Leadership Team. Be willing to trust, disagree, share feedback, and deliver results.
- Improve overall site traffic and quality to key pages.
- Achieve improvements in lead quality and new signups matching our ICP.
- Identify the short-term and long-term needs to resource, hire, train, and staff the projects necessary for the team to achieve goals within an annual marketing budget.
- Understand and develop KPIs for Marketing across top-to-bottom funnel tactics.
- Understand and perform market research, competitive analysis, campaign measurements, and market trends that translate results into actionable insights and vision for the Marketing team.
Daily & monthly responsibilities - Manage and coach our marketing team members including but not limited to hiring, training, mentorship, workloads, project management, delegation, and deadlines.
- Develop marketing plans, content, calendars, announcements, and initiatives.
- Oversee the management of agency providers, consultants, freelancers, and other suppliers including the contracting process.
- Design cross-functional and cross-channel strategies, marketing analytics, and website optimizations.
- Be at the forefront of new marketing technologies to innovate, improve efficiency, and increase results.
- Partner with client-facing teams to ensure marketing strategy is aligned with retention initiatives.
- Guide and sustain the corporate brand and brand values in conjunction with other internal stakeholders.
Quarterly & yearly responsibilities - Plan, project, and justify an annual Marketing budget.
- Negotiate with all marketing vendors and partners to build fruitful relationships and efficient contracts.
- Report key results and recommendations alongside peers to Senior Leadership and Executives.
- Create and identify opportunities for growth across direct reports as it relates to their career development and trajectory.
Skills you need to be successful in the role- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. 5+ years in Marketing with at least 2+ years in leadership roles.
- Experience with digital marketing, SEO (keyword search, AI SEO Tools, experience ranking for competitive terms and building traffic organically), content, branding, and demand generation.
- 3-5 years of experience in managing and scaling mid to large-size teams.
- Successful track record in senior marketing roles and large-scale campaign creation.
- Proven ability to plan and manage a department budget.
- Advanced proficiency with Marketing analytics (GA, Google Tag Manager, Hubspot, Superset (SQL), Salesforce).
Nice to have’s - Successful track record using Account Based Marketing techniques.
- Relevant and established portfolio of media and PR contacts.
- Proficiency with Content Management Systems, and/or Design practices and software.
- Successful partnership and integration launches.
$190,000 - $210,000 a year

A PollEvian’s total cash compensation package is composed of two parts: a base salary and a potential end-of-year bonus of up to 8% that is dependent on company performance on top of the base salary. Our salary ranges take into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to the breadth and number of direct years of experience for the role we are hiring for within the SaaS industry, based on our company size. All salaries at Poll Everywhere also have a geographic differential associated with the resident location at which the position may be filled.
The hiring salary range for this role is $190,000 to $210,000 annually in most geographic locations across the United States. At the time of your initial call with our talent team please be ready to confirm your current residential location.
