As a Payroll Specialist you will plan, direct, or coordinate Payroll activities for the organization. Ensure payroll is processed on time, completed accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.

• Fulfill all reporting requirements of all relevant government rules and regulations.
• Formulate policies, procedures, and programs for recruitment, testing, placement, classification, orientation, benefits and compensation, and labor and industrial relations.
• Oversee day-to-day operation of HRIS and Time & Attendance database.
• Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving issues as they occur.
• Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions, via HRIS.
• Compute wages and deductions and enter data into related systems.
• Oversees the proper processing of all payroll terminations, benefit cancellations, and COBRA notifications.
• Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.
• Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements.
• Oversees the proper and accurate processing and tracking of Paid Time Off for all full-time personnel within the company.
• Work with other intra departments to achieve desired outcomes.
• Other reasonable duties requested by management.

• 2 years of Payroll Specialist experience (or related)
• Bachelor’s degree in related field, strongly preferred; 5 years of experience in lieu of degree
• Certified Payroll Professional, preferred
• Required experience with ADP Workforce Now
• Strong customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Decision making and problem solving skills
• Strong organization, planning, and prioritizing skills
• Able to attend work 100% onsite- 5105 W. Waters Avenue, Tampa, FL 33634
• Mon- Fri 8am-5pm
