BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: Class Code 9209 - Range 08; Pay: $15.00/hour; 40 hours weekly. This is maintenance and personal services work in providing services to park users at a state park or day use area. Work may also include directing and overseeing the activities of a small crew of maintenance and operations personnel. Work is performed under general supervision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and/or experience in park maintenance and operations or equivalent.
Valid Class C Maine motor vehicle operator’s license prior to completing permanent status.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Code 8001; Range 03; Pay: $15.00/hr.; 40 hrs. weekly. This is maintenance and personal services work in performing a variety of unskilled manual labor tasks associated with minor maintenance, repair, and upkeep at such places as parks, boat facilities, cemeteries, garages, and agricultural growing sites. Responsibilities include mowing, shoveling miscellaneous material, lifting and moving heavy objects, cleaning and servicing vehicles and equipment, making minor repairs to and maintaining buildings, preparing and planting cuttings and seeds, preparing grounds/fields for planting, and/or assisting trades workers in various duties. Some positions may require frequent bending, constant moving, and lifting and moving heavy objects on a regular basis. Reasonable accommodation will be made for qualified handicapped employees. Work is performed under immediate supervision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION (Park Receptionist): Job Code 6508; Range 05; Pay: $15.00/hour; 40 hours weekly. This position meets/greets/assists park visitors in order to provide information about available services and facilities, collect/maintain/protect change fund and income derived from entrance fees and other related services; strictly adhere to Bureau’s cash handling policy; record public use and daily income, maintain toll facilities so they are neat and in good order, secure facilities, radios and equipment as required; attend all mandated training, have a knowledge of all communications procedures and emergency situations as covered in the emergency operating procedures, adhere to all Bureau and State policies; strictly adhere to the Bureau’s uniform policy, and ensure proper steps are taken in an emergency situation by knowing the park emergency operating procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates competency in applying a general knowledge of the principles and practices of quality customer service to provide routine reception or reservation services.
Some positions may require possession of a valid Class C Maine Motor Vehicle Operator’s License prior to completing permanent status.
