Senior Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps)

Porch Group is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps) to help build world-class infrastructure in public cloud, mainly GCP.

Skills

Expertise in cloud-based systems and containerized infrastructure
Deep expertise in Cloud platforms (GCP and Azure preferred)
Unix scripting experience and willingness to learn new tools
Practical knowledge of modern DevOps techniques like CI/CD, IaC
Experience in troubleshooting distributed systems, network, and applications

Responsibilities

Build infrastructure/systems balancing operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization
Improve observability of systems to anticipate and address issues before they become critical
Contribute to DevOps roadmaps, supporting modernizing infrastructure and new projects
Design and enforce SDLC & Infosec & Compliance requirements
Assist with root cause analysis/remediation for system incidents
Provide support in basic database operations and migration/consolidation of infrastructure
Support initiatives for modernizing/centralizing the cloud footprint

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software or System Engineering preferred
