POSITION SUMMARY

The Post-Baccalaureate Prevention & Outreach Coordinator will play a key role in increasing and strengthening college-wide education and outreach to students with primary focus on promoting sexual respect and active bystander engagement. Successful candidates will comfortably connect with first- and second-year students, create programming and training, and analyze data around topics regarding everyday consent, healthy relationships, and sober sex.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Designing appropriate educational programs, or making appropriate referrals, to meet the needs of students referred by the Title IX Coordinator.
  • Creating and managing webpages, promotional materials, and resources for campus prevention efforts to engage the campus community.
  • Working collaboratively with campus partners and resources to offer education programming on the prevention of sexual assault, stalking and intimate partner abuse, and other prohibited behavior.
  • Create and conduct training with students.
  • Commitment to serving the needs and interests of the student body
  • Evaluate programming and available evidence and collect and perform analysis on campus-level data to inform programming.
  • Assist in creating agendas and facilitating the Title IX Advisory Committee.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A candidate with a B.A.
  • No related work experience necessary
  • Commitment to the College’s articulated mission and core values
  • Champions diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Demonstrated record of teamwork
  • Successful candidates will have the ability to facilitate and execute events both large and small
  • Proven communicator with the ability to effectively utilize various modes of communication
  • Successful candidates will create strong connections with students on campus, especially first- and second-year students

Preferred Qualifications
  • An interest in learning about Title IX regulations and policy
  • An interest in building sexual respect across Grinnell College’s campus
