Team Overview

Our Sales team serves the critical role of getting our products into the hands of our customers. This talented team works hard to build and maintain relationships with our clients, as well as looks for new business opportunities to expand our reach.

Responsibilities

Description

The Solution Sales team oversees the selling of various product lines to K-12 school districts. Team members have a deep knowledge of our products and sales best practices, with a focus on growing revenue.

Your day-to-day job will consist of:

  • Submit territory Weekly Forecasts to VP of Sales for your territory based on your inspection of your Field Sales Representative product line forecast submissions 
  • Follow-up with team directly on initiatives/communications sent to All Sales as it applies to team 
  • Ensure team is prepared for QBRs regarding the product line goals and assist with product line initiatives within the  annual Territory Plan 
  • Identify areas for improvement regarding product line knowledge or performance of product line and coach/mentor Field Sales Representatives in those areas 
  • Understand deals for territory, coach the Field Sales Representatives on successful deal strategy, and drive Field Sales Representatives to successful discovery, objection-handling, deal timeline management, etc. 
  • Mentor the Field Sales Representative on how to identify best opportunities to be competitive in the territory – competitive pricing, strategic products, partnerships, references, lobbyists, etc. 
  • Travel with Field Sales Representatives as requested, and personally visit and be involved with key customers and key deals for the product line and step in to personally lead key/large opportunities when necessary 
  • Research assessment, analytics and accountability initiatives for identified states to align product specific strategies, consistently monitor the market for information that will assist PowerSchool grow revenue 
  • Lead ESSA initiatives as it relates to the Performance Matters Assessment and Analytics product line 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant and related work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience managing and leading teams and managers.
  • Experience using CRM systems
  • Ability to accurately forecast sales on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis 
  • Excellent presentation and product demonstration skills 
  • Ability to analyze and develop quality business and territory plans 
  • Works well in a collaborative environment 
  • Knowledge of ESSA initiatives

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $133,600 - $189,100 USD plus applicable commission. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; specific geographic location; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
