Praxis has an exciting opportunity for a VP of Capture with a successful track record identifying, pursuing, and winning opportunities that deliver technology and mission-based solutions for the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) Agencies mainly focused on the Maryland Procurement Office (MPO), LPO, and CYBERCOM markets.
Position Summary:
In this position, you will be responsible for leading capture activities in support of winning key opportunities within the Maryland-based IC and DoD (USCC, DISA, Army APG, Navy mission etc.) sectors within the Federal Government space. As VP Capture you will be responsible for pursuing and winning new business contracts with a values ranging from $25M-$500M. In this role, you will be a member of the Growth Department, collaborating with operations and engineering personnel across Praxis business units to identify, qualify, capture and win SIGINT and Cyber-based opportunities primarily within Maryland-based IC and national DoD customer segments.
What will you be doing?
- Responsible for identifying, qualifying, and pursuing Cyber and SIGINT technology-based (and related) opportunities within the Federal (IC, DoD) space.
- Interfaces between Business Development and internal and external stakeholders (Praxis Business Units, Operations and Engineering Staff, and Corporate functional organizations).
- Supports continual business development process improvement.
- Maintains appropriate records and documentation, tracks, monitors, and reports data to support business development.
- Develops and maintains a "value added" working relationship with the Praxis line organizations including Business Units Executives, VP of Business Development, and Proposal Managers.
- Responsible for conducting competitive assessments on specific opportunities; making recommendations on teaming partners and draft teaming agreements; becomes well versed and stays abreast of Praxis capability and technical offerings
- Responsible for capturing, documenting, maintaining and reporting capture and pursuit metrics.
- Meets and/or exceeds performance goals in support of overall corporate growth and success while maintaining and implementing a professional approach to include full awareness and compliance of applicable Federal Procurement and Business Ethics Codes and Regulations.
- Performs as a professional steward of Praxis resources and reputation in the execution of all assigned duties.
- Works closely with the Praxis VP Business Development & Strategy, providing the support needed to properly integrate and manage the business development function into their respective strategies, operating plans and budgets.
What will you need?
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Marketing, Engineering etc… technical discipline preferred) + 15 years of professional experience to include: engineering, business operations, BD/Sales.
- May consider additional experience in lieu of degree or
- Master’s degree in relevant field preferred (e.g. MBA; or MS in Engineering, Computer Science etc.) + 10 years of professional experience to include: engineering, business operations, BD/Sales. and
- 5 years of relevant business development, capture, proposal, and/or government sales/marketing experience in the MPO/LPO market.
Domain / Skills / Abilities:
- Experience with the MPO and LPO customer organizations and programs.
- Knowledge of major industry competitors in Maryland (Ft. Meade and Aberdeen) required and knowledge of major industry competitors in Virginia desired.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze customer requirements and develop differentiating technical solutions.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to apply strategic thinking and frameworks to achieve growth goals, translating strategies into actionable plans.
- Ability to apply design thinking methodologies to improve customer intimacy, increase bid pWins and achieve operational innovation.

Active TS/SCI with an appropriate polygraph is required to be considered for this role please change if the clearance level is different.
Salary range:
$161,259.00 - $288,020 (Annually)*
