Job Description
The role of the Technical Cloud Specialist is a Technical Sales Overlay position that is aligned to a Region or a Country. The focus is to participate in, and drive elements of the pre-sales process to understand customer business, technical objectives, and product requirements for the Veritas products that run in or interact with the Cloud. As a Technical Cloud Specialist, you will establish and maintain many relationships through working daily with Field Sales Engineers, Sales, Product Management and Channel teams.
Responsibilities:

Provide high level solution design for Cloud solutions, apply expertise in areas of solution design/architecture, cloud services and operations as it pertains to Veritas solutions.

Lead deep architectural discussions with enterprise and strategic customers to build confidence and ensure customer success when building new cloud applications and migrating existing applications to the cloud with Veritas products.

Present the Veritas cloud technical vision and offering strategy to all levels across the customer internally and externally (e.g., technical or business leads).

Interact with customers to define their technical problems and architect solutions.

Share expertise and coach the wider technical sales teams on cloud platforms and Veritas’ cloud value proposition.

Maintain product/solution expertise of market trends in Cloud technology including detailed understanding of the competitive capabilities related to another vendor or Cloud Providers.

Engage with Product Management to provide customers with Early Access and Beta programs.

Selectively support the channel community with Cloud-related Veritas technical enablement.

Support the sales team providing RFI/RFP Technical Response.

Build with partners and customers a trusted advisor relationship.

Act as a key technical stakeholder when PoCs are required.

Collaborate with Product Management/Engineering and provide consistent, customer-driven feedback to influence product roadmaps.
Requirements:

Experience in a Technical Pre-Sales role, 4+ years.

In-depth experience with Public Cloud providers including service offerings, architectures, operations, and business models (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).

In depth knowledge of containerization technologies, particularly as it relates to Kubernetes, AKS, EKS and GKE.

Experience in cloud-focused Data Protection and Data Management solutions

Holds broader industry knowledge on market trends (Cloud, Orchestration, Virtualization, Containers, etc.).

Experience designing solutions for solving complex, unique customer business issues.

Able to work & collaborate remotely as a sole resource capacity or in a pooled resource capacity (team dynamic).

Expert in communicating and presenting to senior IT stakeholders.
Target cash compensation range of $193,000 - $289,800
The above pay range is based on a good faith estimate made at the time of publication and may be modified in the future. The pay offered to a candidate may vary within this range depending on factors such as education, experience, and geographic location.
