Director, Scientific Services - Medical Communications - NY

The Role

As our Director, Scientific Services you will lead scientific input across one of our internal agency's accounts, providing scientific affairs, communication and new business development support and encourage organic growth of existing accounts.

You will take the lead in overseeing strategic plans, developing key scientific communication points and other deliverables to support product positioning and brand vision.

As a senior member of the team, you will provide leadership to the Editorial/Scientific management team, and cross-pollinate ideas between editorial groups and account teams, assist with providing scientific and technical knowledge and impart commercial and creative understanding. You will be responsible for scientific resource management across your agency's accounts.

  • At least 10 years Medcomms agency experience
  • Bring a breadth of experience across different types of projects, therapeutic areas and types of clients (geographical and healthcare market mix)
  • Strong appreciation of both Prime and clients’ business needs and resourcefulness in finding solutions to challenges
  • Experience in strategic planning
  • Experience in developing and presenting new business proposals/pitches
  • Experience mentoring and supporting Scientific teams working with new clients as appropriate
  • Experience with resource management across a number of accounts
