Position Summary:
Under senior management direction, responsible for the overall assessment, planning, implementation and operation of a comprehensive safety program.
What You Will Do- Partners with all construction leaders (Group Leaders, Project Managers and Foremen) with education and implementation of safety protocols and procedures
- Manages and updates PRIME Safety Program, Injury Illness Prevention Program, Site Specific Safety Manuals and other safety documentation
- Provides safety-related training to all parties and manages an updated safety training log
- Conducts safety audits and gathers objective evidence through observation, interview and sampling of documents and records
- Drives continuous safety improvement programs to incrementally improve the safety culture and performance
- Manages all compliance with regulatory agencies (OSHA, WISHA, etc.)
- Interfaces with external partners (NECA, IBEW, etc.) regarding communication and exchange of safety-related information
- Assists marketing and all group leaders in providing safety-related data needed for proposals and presentations
- Ensures all required onsite records, reports and postings meet established procedures and requirements
- Assists with required personal safety-related training and certifications (first aid cards, confined space training, etc.)
- Supports field leadership with jobsite pre-task safety planning, MOP review and approval, “toolbox” site meetings, job specific safety plans, jobsite safety audits and risk corrections, work area inspections and personal injury investigations, job hazard analyses and ergonomic and material handling processes
- Serves as safety advisor on future objectives and directional changes recommended in all safety programs
- Manages all hazardous materials issues or MSDS form management systems
- Works with field leaders and executives on the planning and execution of safety incentive programs
- Manages claims management process with the Assistant Safety Director, of all injuries from initial reporting and medical interface to case closure
- Manages vehicle/equipment safety-related inspections, recommended repairs or training of operators
- Manages recommended safety procedures (fire drills, lockdown procedures, prefabrication or warehouse procedures, etc.) for Prime offices and permanent work locations
- Adhere to the PRIME Safety Program, complying with safety regulations, procedures and safe work practices.
- Maintain a physical presence onsite and regularly visit jobsites to oversee progress and provide assistance to the project management team as needed.

What You Will Need To Be Successful - Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university and ten plus years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Certification
- Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) Certification
- Strong communication, organizational, information management, problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish credibility with clients, colleagues and senior management
- Presentation skills to deliver safety guidance at all levels and localized training to staff as required
- Working knowledge of health and safety tools and techniques, standards, legislation, codes of practice, guidance and operating procedures
- Demonstrated acumen in safety program management including knowledge of applicable OSHA, DOT, DOL and other EHS laws and regulations
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
$160,000 - $180,000 a year
