What You'll DoPrincipal's Global Equity team is searching for an experienced Consumer Staples analyst. This candidate will work with a diverse team of portfolio managers and analysts supporting research and recommendations!In this role, you’ll be able to:• Provide and continue to build expertise Globally in the Consumer Staples sector• Partner closely with other analysts and portfolio managers to provide outperformance through stock selection, while working within the framework of our process and portfolio constraints• Make specific company recommendations based on in-depth fundamental analysis and provide essential insights into industry trends• Partner with the Research Director and Portfolio Managers to make long-term investment recommendations for multiple portfolios• Maintain research coverage of existing investments within the assigned sector coverage• Proactively research, compile, and analyze information to aid Portfolio Managers in making informed investment decisionsPrincipal Asset Management offers global asset management expertise across a diverse set of traditional and alternative asset classes. Our conviction is centered on bottom-up fundamental insights while remaining macro-aware.Who You Are• MBA or Master of Science with finance emphasis and Chartered Financial Analyst designation (or progress towards CFA)• 2 years (five highly preferred) equity investment experience• Global equity experience in the Consumer sector• A proven track record of consistently adding value through investment recommendations based on proprietary analysis.• Best-in-class analytical skills, including extensive consumer discretionary industry knowledge, fundamental company analysis, and financial modellingSkills That Will Help You Stand Out• Superior analytical skills• Must be a self-starter and demonstrate understanding of economies and investment theories• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Factset, BloombergThis position may be subject to SEC restrictions on personal political contributions.Salary Range InformationSalary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)$137000 - $185000 / yearTime Off ProgramFlexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness.
