The Team You’ll Work With

Carta’s software empowers companies, investors, employees, and other private market participants to view and track their assets online. This position as a data aggregator uniquely positions us to offer insights into the market as a whole. One area we consistently hear requests for is data around employee compensation (salary, equity, bonus).

The Compensation team’s goal is to build tools that help founders and other company administrators manage their employees compensation. We want to provide compensation insights that allow these users to make smarter decisions in real-time as they’re building their companies. Long term, we would also like to expand our compensation insights to employees to create transparency across the marketplace.

The Problems You’ll Solve

As Principal Product Manager for the Carta’s compensation product you will:

  • Develop a vision for how we can drive equity compensation, helping our users maximize their wealth potential through ownership
  • Communicate a compelling roadmap that reflects your team’s vision, the priorities of the business and user value
  • Build the best-in-class compensation product for our customers
  • Define objectives and success metrics that connect user and business impact
  • Manage multiple cross functional stakeholders including sales, marketing, customer success, support, etc to gathering feedback and drive alignment on execution
  • Leverage user research, rapid prototyping, and data insights to identify ways to build compensation products

About You

We are looking for a strong product leader who can drive strategy, prioritization, and product delivery. If you are passionate about building intuitive solutions to complex problems and have a desire to impact the financial future of employees around the world, we’d love to talk with you.

  • You have at least 6 years of product management experience
  • You have a founder mentality demonstrating strong sense of ownership and a bias to action
  • You are excited about 0-1 products and building new businesses from early stages
  • You are able to operate under ambiguity, you can create long term plans yet continue to validate and iterate with feedback from the market
  • You have both high IQ and EQ and are able to solve a wide variety of problems from user issues and data problems to team collaboration and dependency management
  • You enjoy working with a fast paced and passionate product development team
  • You’re interested in fintech and compensation, with a desire to become an expert in each domain you touch

Salary

Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is:

  • $208,000 - $260,000 in [San Francisco, CA, Santa Clara, CA]

Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
