Fractional Chief Operating Officer

Compensation

Earn $16,000*+ per month (*based on serving five clients)

This is an independent contractor position. You will be responsible for earning trust with and recruiting your own clients. There is no base pay. You are your own business owner and we will help you become successful. We'll help you do this by providing strategies and support. It's not as difficult as you may have been led to believe, but like anything else in life that's worth anything, you've got to work at this. We'll help you thrive as a consultant. We will not ask you to recruit other consultants or pay membership fees to us. The primary reason consultants join Pro Business Advice is to have access to a dedicated team of co-consultants who are highly qualified and committed to the success of everyone in the cohort.

We will not consider your application if you do not answer the required questions on this application. We do not use automated systems to review resumes and a real person reads every response.

Time Commitment

5-8 hours of work per client per week, weekly meetings with your cohort, one-on-one training sessions with your cohort leader, & business development time each week.

About the Company

Pro Business Advice by Ryan Winter LLC is a Fractional Executive Consultant solution for small-to-midsized businesses that need operations leadership but cannot afford a full-time COO. What we do is not unique. How we do it is unique. We serve companies that have proven they have valuable products or services to sell and they're ready to grow to the next phase of business.

As a Fractional COO with Pro Business Advice, you won't be alone. This is a contractor position. You bring the clients and we'll walk you through serving them effectively. You can work remotely or in-person with your clients. The benefit of working with Pro Business Advice rather than starting your own consultancy from scratch is that we have already figured out what works and what doesn't, saving you time and lost opportunities. We also provide the technology, templates, and other resources to make you successful. We'll function as your support team, empowering you to empower your clients.

Whether you stay with us for a brief period as you prepare to launch your own business or you work with us for the long haul, we're here for your success and the success of your clients. Apply for the job to schedule a call with our CEO to see if we're a good fit.

What Does Pro Business Advice Do for Fractional COOs?

  • You'll be assigned to a small group, your cohort, and will have the support of everyone in the group. This will give you the confidence and resources you need to work with a wide variety of clients and navigate complex situations that may be too challenging on your own.
  • You'll become a better consultant by learning from and collaborating with peers every week.
  • You won't be alone.
  • We'll meet with you one-on-one each week to help you stay accountable.
  • We'll walk you through our proven operations consulting process or help you develop your own.
  • We will handle your back-office. Scheduling with your clients, taxes, accounting, receiving payments from clients, legal contracts with clients, and more. We do it for you.
  • We'll invest in marketing for you and all of the consultants we serve. We do not promise that we'll give you leads or customers. There is much more to earning the trust of a client than simply calling the number on a lead form. But we will work with you to set you up for success within our resources and yours. Whether you work with Pro Business Advice or on your own, your best customers are going to come from personal connections and referrals. Our consultants believe in themselves and have the confidence to earn business (and there's plenty out there). We'll provide proven strategies to help you do that.
  • We'll provide monthly financial reports for your clients that are prepared by a CPA.
  • We'll give you access to all of the software that you need to serve your clients and stay top of mind with prospects.
  • You'll get a page on our website with your biography, video (if you want), and other pertinent information about you.
  • Pro Business Advice consultants get the team, resources, and confidence they need to focus purely on working with their customers and growing their own businesses.

Overview

Additionally, earning the trust of a client, beginning with them choosing to work with you, is a skill that you'll use in this role every day.
