Carestream EPT Rules

Carestream, in compliance with EPT Rules is offering a very competitive salary of $100,000 to $80,000. This position is eligible for an annual bonus, 401K match. An opening exists for a Process Controls Engineer within Carestream Health’s White City, Oregon facility. The Process Controls Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of industrial control systems. The ideal candidate acts as a process expert in identifying and leading productivity process improvement programs related to the electrical, software, and automation components of new and existing manufacturing processes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for programming, debugging, and modifications of process control hardware and software.
  • Design and program different types of process control systems including PLC, DCS, and PC based systems.
  • Utilizing effective project management tools to support the design, installation, startup, and qualification of process equipment. Process equipment to include mixers, pumps, web conveyance systems, dryers, laminators, winders, UV curing, and converting systems.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with various engineering and operations personnel to provide successful controls solutions.
  • Support safe manufacturing practices by participating in PSM, MOC, and HAZOP reviews.

Required Skills & Education:

  • Must be immediately eligible to work lawfully in the USA. No Visa Sponsorship.
  • BS degree in engineering, physical science, industrial engineering or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education, certification, and related work experience will also be considered.
  • Experience level: 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.

Expected Background

  • Experience with PLC platforms including Allen Bradley, Siemens and Modicon.
  • An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes; motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls and power transmission systems.

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to work independently; highly self motivated, self directed and be results oriented.
  • Must have a desire to contribute and work in a team environment (lead and interact with operations, maintenance, technical/engineering and management)
  • Strong computer skills including hardware, software, and peripheral devices. Literate with Microsoft environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, diagrams, charts, and equipment specifications.
  • Familiarity with bar code readers, optical scanners, camera inspection systems, and vision systems.
  • Knowledge of robotic operations and motion controls programming.
