Process Engineer

We have a direct hire opening for a Process Engineer in Sparks at a product recycling company that utilizes new technology. This is a 1st shift position!

In this role, conduct tests and observe procedures in production, monitor the results each day, troubleshoot problems, and suggest process improvements to upper management.

Pay & Schedule:

• Salary: $70k - $85k/annually
• This is a 1st shift position
• Benefits: Medical, vision, dental, 401K Match (up to 3%, no vesting schedule), PTO (104 hours vacation, 11 holidays)

Job Duties of the Process Engineer:

• Conduct tests, observe procedures, and monitor processes in production
• Create streamlined processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
• Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and output quality
• Complete root cause analysis and conduct risk assessments to identify improvement opportunities
• Estimate production costs and outlining ways to reduce costs through process improvement
• Optimize production by analyzing processes and compiling de-bottleneck studies
• Provide technical support and training to leaders and employees regarding process changes
• Evaluate tooling design, equipment, and how they are used in production
• Oversee equipment breakdown and packaging for shipment
• Train customers on maintenance and operation
• Order replacement parts and suggest improvements to engineering
• Troubleshoot technical problems and recommend solutions for the manufacturing process
• Follow all company policies and regulatory requirements when implementing solutions in production
• Write standard work and SOPs for new processes
• Use the ERP system to document the product development/process development

Job Requirements of the Process Engineer:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
• Have 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Chemical environment a plus)
• Familiar with Lean/Six Sigma tools and methods for process improvement
• Experience using CAD software would be a plus
• Be able to analyze, troubleshoot, and problem-solve to improve the production
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and P&IDs
