Summary of Position: The procurement specialist is responsible for finding goods and services for the company at the best value regarding quality and price. Additional duties of this position include assisting the analysis and preparation of contracts and working closely with upper management teams as well as outside vendors to meet project requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Source finished or semi-finished products and materials from appropriate vendors in Asia and US

• Reviews prices and product specifications from various suppliers to determine which is most cost effective.

• Acquires accurate and timely sourcing information.
• Handles project management, PO generation and factory payment requisitions

• Ensures the products/materials meet design specifications, and insure delivery dates

• Communicates effectively and efficiently with managers, sales staff, support staff, design team, vendors and overseas team etc.
• Participants in and actively seek out additional training and industry experience
• Reviews supplies, works and services to ensure compliance with company procedures and best procurement practice.
• Maintains positive working relationships with strategic suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met
• Monitors suppliers’ performance including on-time delivery and quality
• Analyzes market and delivery trends to develop procurement technologies and processes that support those trend

• Records keeping all purchase related activities and price lists, as well as managing products code and inventory record

• Assesses, manages and mitigates risks; coordinate utilization of obsolete and slow-moving stock to optimize value.

• Preparation of Requests for Quotations (RFQs)
• Identifies/Forecasts when supplies or products are running low and place orders to replenish as needed
• Identifies and prioritizes urgent orders
• Reviews and audits invoices before submitting for payment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 years of related experience
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Strong attention to detail, negotiation skills and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated analytical thinking
• Proficient in the use Microsoft office with advanced Excel skills
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• General understanding of procurement and procurement terms considered a plus
• Authorization to work in the United States of America
• Passion to work and good working attitude
