Procurement Associate, Contracts

Datadog's Finance team works with teams across the organization, providing commercial, operational and analytical support to ensure that Datadog's business continues to grow as rapidly and efficiently as possible. In this role, you'll be part of a growing Procurement team at a high growth organization and make an impact with these changes by ensuring Datadog is obtaining the best value with current and new vendors

What You'll Do:

• Shepherd the procurement process from vendor intake to contract execution
• Triage and determine level of engagement required based on stated Legal, Privacy, Security standards
• Review and negotiate vendor contracts, renewals, quotes, and other legal purchasing type agreements
• Drive cost savings and consistently identify savings areas
• Interface with benchmarking partners to ensure pricing is aligned with industry standard
• Assist in vendor selection decisions, pricing models, and negotiations based on organizational standards to further mature Datadog’s vendor landscape and engagements
• Lead and cascade process improvements to streamline sourcing and procurement to ensure sourcing initiatives are aligned with organizational business plans and performance objectives
• Work with internal buyers on strategically sourcing what they need (gathering specs., recommending vendors, vetting pricing, leveling)
• Be an overall liaison between Procurement, internal stakeholders and vendors

Who You Are: 

• A procurement professional with 5+ years of general procurement experience, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating vendor facing contracts (with experience negotiating SaaS and technology)
• Able to manage multiple projects – prioritization, planning and task delegation
• Understanding of optimization levers such as demand management, consolidation, price negotiation, etc.
• Proficient in Excel
• Bachelor’s Degree
• You have participated in the implementation of purchasing processes
• An understanding of multiple procurement categories (professional service, SaaS, facilities, events)
• Preferred experience with Coupa
• Preferred experience with BI tools (Tableau, etc.)
