Overview 

Morning Brew is looking for a full-time Producer/Shooter to join our fast-growing multimedia department. This position is based in New York, but all Brew employees are currently working remotely until further notice.

This is a pivotal role that’s perfect for a strong one-person band who can produce and shoot (with assistance from an AP). If this is you, you have a passion for creating informative, original and entertaining videos. Videos will cover topics within Brew’s core coverage areas of business, money and work-life. Great candidates are comfortable working in a fast-paced newsroom environment and have experience working on a range of projects simultaneously. 

As Producer/Shooter, you will work across a range of projects for a range of digital platforms integral to the Brew’s video growth. 

Our audience continues to discover video in new places, and our goal is to meet them where they are. You have deep knowledge of the nuances of video platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and YouTube.

Key responsibilities include: 

- Producing and shooting a range of short and mid-form videos for digital platforms

- Developing ideas and executing them 

Candidate must-haves: 

- Enthusiasm for and working knowledge of the Brew’s key content areas (business, work life, money) 

- Sound editorial judgement and excellent visual storytelling skills

- Expertise in camera operation and lighting setups 

- Strong directing and interviewing skills

- Experience managing and directing talent (both internal and guests)  

- Deep knowledge of social video platforms and best editing practices for each

- Outstanding communication, collaboration and organizational skills

- Deep experience working on complex projects with several stakeholders 

- Experience with Premiere, After Effects + Photoshop a bonus

- Experience: minimum 5 yrs
